The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal, Canada is pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement to purchase the powder coating business and all the assets of Enviro-Powder Ccompany of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Enviro-Powder Company is a well recognized name within the powder coatings industry and has been providing a quality product and excellent service to its clients for many years. Protech fully expects to benefit from the excellent business relationships that Enviro-Powder has developed over the years with its customers. Protech will integrate the Enviro-Powder manufacturing operations into its own organization. Current customers of Enviro-Powder will continue to be able to obtain the products they are currently purchasing and as well, will now have access to Protech’s worldwide network of products and technology

The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal, Canada is pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement to purchase the powder coatings business of Atomized Powder Coatings LLC of Terre Haute, Indiana. Protech will integrate the Atomized manufacturing operations into its own organization. Current customers of Atomized Powder Coating will continue to be able to obtain the products they are presently purchasing and as well, will now have access to Protech’s worldwide network of products and technology
Protech is excited and proud to introduce three new specialty lines of powder coatings. X-Graf is a line of coatings that allows the easy clean-up of graffiti. Curvecoat permits coated pieces to be post -bended without cracking, splitting or chipping. And the Z-Series is Protech’s line of super-durable powder coatings. Protech is pleased to unveil its new color chart. This fold out chart represents our stock items that are always available. The new color can be found on the website simply by clicking on the color chart button. Please note that you can also easily access the previous color chart on the website.
Protech has completed the expansion of its QC and R & D laboratories at its head office location in Montreal. These state-of-the-art labs have been furnished with the newest of equipment including apparatus for testing which previously had to be out sourced. The refurnished labs will allow Protechs technical team even more opportunity to develop new products and applications.
Protech is expected to move into its new facility in Fairfield, New Jersey by the beginning of September 2007. All necessary permits have been obtained and equipment will be moved in immediately.
Protech and Alcatel/Lucent have extended their existing supply agreement. Under terms of the agreement, Protech remains the exclusive suppler of powder coatings to Alcatel/Lucent and their suppliers and sub-contractors.

December 18, 2006. Protech Concludes the Flanders Powder NV Acquisition The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal, through its Belgian affiliate, Oxyplast Belgium NV, announced today that they have concluded the previously reported transaction to purchase the powder coatings business of Flanders Powder NV of Wevelgem, Belgium. The deal also gives The Protech Group a participation in Ekopowder of Opava, The Czech Republic. December 15, 2006. Protech Purchases New Production Facility in New Jersey The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal announced today that it has purchased a new production facility in Fairfield , New Jersey , ten miles from Protech's current location in Parsippany , New Jersey . We should be able to move into this new location by the second quarter of 2007, explained David Ades, Managing Director of The Protech Group. This move reaffirms our commitment to the Northeast and allows us to better serve our clients in this important area. The new plant will improve our manufacturing efficiency and increase our capacity by over 50%, Mr. Ades added. We have a highly technical and committed staff that will continue to flourish in this new facility. October 20, 2006. Protech in negotiations to acquire Flanders Powder NV The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal , through its Belgian affiliate, Oxyplast Belgium NV, has offered to purchase the powder coatings business of Flanders Powder NV of Wevelgem , Belgium . The eventual outcome of such a transaction would be the emergence of a stronger leading powder coatings manufacturer in the Benelux region. The potential deal would also include the acquisition of a participation in Ekopowder of Opava, Czech Republic, by the Protech/Oxyplast Group, allowing them to benefit from the fast-growing East European market. Both parties hope to conclude a transaction before the end of the current year. March 22, 2006 Protech Chemicals acquires manufacturing assets of Links Coating Protech Chemicals Ltd. announced today that it has acquired the powder coating manufacturing assets of Links Coating Ltd. of London, Ontario. This addition will enable Protech to expand its manufacturing capacity. The assets will be relocated within existing Protech facilities in Canada. Protech is a global leader in the production of powder coating whose products are produced in 25 countries worldwide.
January 2006 In Ankara Turkey IBA Kimya A.S., the licensee of Protech / Oxyplast acquired EKB-Penta, a 1,000 tons producer of powder coatings located in Gebze, Turkey. This facility brings IBA Kimya's production plant to three. The other two are in Ankara and Kayseri. With a total of 223 employees, IBA Kimya is the market leader in Turkey and is very active in the sectors of domestic appliances, metal furnitures, architectural applications and is exporting to 15 countries. The company is planning further investments including a new powder coating facility in Ankara and a liquid paint factory for wood and industrial coatings with a Spanish shareholder. These two facilities will be operating by spring 2007. |
